The course provides an overview of indemnity and hold harmless provisions in contracts and outlines the key language necessary to make such provisions enforceable within a particular jurisdiction. It also covers additional insured provisions typically contained in contracts and discusses necessary elements for insuring that the expectations of a party actually match the protection afforded to that party via the terms of the applicable provision.
To provide the experienced insurance broker with a thorough understanding of the necessary elements their client should be including in their contractual language, and outlining for them the follow-up necessary for this protection to be verified.
The insurance producer will be better equipped to counsel their clients with respect to the current hold harmless language in any contracts that client currently utilizes and what actions the client should take to make that language as strong as possible.
