Webinar Summary
2020 has seen a dramatic shift in the traditional office workplace and work routines that resulted in a large percentage of office workers transitioning to a Work from Home (WFH) arrangement. This transition was anticipated to be temporary and took place with little notice which allowed minimal time for planning; but for many companies, the temporary nature continues and, for some, WFH arrangements will become permanent.
The transition to WFH presents several ergonomic challenges that should be addressed by employers. Ideally, where employees choose to work at home will allow for adjustability as it does at the office, but even the dining room table can be ergonomic if you get creative. The creative ergonomic fixes are often easy to implement, will improve the awkward postures common with WFH workspaces and increase employee comfort and safety.
This webinar is intended to provide a loss control perspective of the topic. Insurance coverage issues will not be addressed. If you have questions concerning coverage or insurability, please contact your insurance broker or underwriter.
