Summary

In a business environment defined by rapid change, rising complexity, and accelerating technological advancement, leaders must move beyond traditional management and cultivate disciplined agility, trust, and clarity of intent. The Chubb Applied Leadership Experience, in partnership with Thayer Leadership at West Point, brings time-tested military leadership principles into the dynamic landscape of the insurance industry. Through a blend of virtual preparation, immersive in-person learning, and experiential application, agency, broker, and carrier executives will strengthen their ability to align teams, encourage proactive decision-making, and execute with confidence in evolving conditions.
Led by experienced former military officers and leadership faculty, participants will apply Mission Command principles to real-world business challenges, practice adaptive leadership in dynamic simulations, and explore how to integrate AI responsibly while preserving human judgment and accountability. Leaders will depart with practical tools, sharpened perspective, and a clear action plan to elevate team performance and shape enduring organizational impact.

Since retiring in 2011, he has delivered leadership presentations worldwide with Thayer Leadership, helping over 100,000 leaders embrace his “Leader Business” philosophy. This is an INVITE ONLY program for current and future leaders with 5+ years of experience.

Location & Lodging

This program includes overnight hotel accommodations for September 28 and 29, 2026. In order to guarantee hotel availability participants must register for the program by Monday, September 7, 2026. Hotel accommodations are not guaranteed for participants who register after the cut off date. Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses and for making their own travel arrangements to and from the the Mountaineers Seattle Program Center.
