Selling in a Transitioning Market is a dynamic, interactive program designed specifically for Canadian commercial producers who are looking to elevate their client conversations and drive growth in today’s evolving insurance landscape. Through expert-led sessions, real-world case studies, and collaborative workshops, participants will gain actionable insights into current claims trends, master the art of selling value over price in a soft market, and uncover new opportunities for upselling and cross-selling specialty lines such as Cyber, Private Not-for-Profit, and EPL. With a focus on Chubb’s unique differentiators and hands-on engagement with underwriters, attendees will leave equipped with practical strategies and tailored sales plans to win and retain top accounts—empowering them to deliver exceptional value to clients and stand out as expert craftsmen in the industry.

Program Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand current claims trends in Canada and their impact on client conversations.
  • Differentiate between value and price in a softening market and articulate a unique value proposition.
  • Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities in key specialty lines (Cyber, Recall, EPL, Private Not-for-Profit, and Multinational).
  • Leverage Chubb’s differentiators and resources (SLM, Business Income Consultation Tool, Worldview, Risk Mitigation Tools) to win and retain business.
  • Engage effectively with underwriters to drive client-focused solutions.
  • Apply learnings to real prospects by identifying portfolio opportunities and preparing actionable sales strategies.

Location & Lodging

This program includes overnight hotel accommodations for the nights of February 9 and 10, 2026. In order to guarantee hotel availability participants must register for the program by January 12, 2026. Hotel accommodation is not guaranteed for participants who register after the cut off date. Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses and for making their own travel arrangements to and from the program.

Wednesday, February 11
8:00 am – 7:00 pm PST | Networking Ski Day (Whistler, BC)

Transportation will be provided to and from Whistler from downtown Vancouver. We plan to arrive back in downtown Vancouver at 7pm PST.

Tuition

Tuition and hotel accommodation will be covered by Chubb. You are responsible for travel expenses.

Attire

Business casual for classroom sessions. Dress in warm, waterproof layers with gloves, a hat or helmet, and goggles for a comfortable ski day.
